Missions, Outreach, and Evangelism

The people of Monadnock Covenant Church are agents of God’s mission to the world. Some of that mission occurs as a church body, while some occurs as individual initiatives as we reach out to our community and to the world.

The Community Kitchen: A group from MCC serves dinner the third Monday of each month.

Habitat for Humanity: We are involved in minor and major repair projects on an ongoing basis.

Pilgrim PinesPilgrim Pines: Our denomination’s camp and conference center on Swanzey Lake.

Pregnancy Resource Center of the Monadnock Region: We participate in the Baby Bottle Blessings fundraiser in May and June.

New England Seafarer’s Mission: We travel to Boston once a year to help serve the crews of ships that come into Boston Harbor.

Detroit, MI: A group of women from MCC will help facilitate in a Covenant Merge Ministries sponsored Pampered Conference for women at  inner-city Detroit churches in September 2016. There is also an opportunity for men to be part of a building rehab in Detroit in June 2016.

Oaxaca, Mexico: We sent short-term mission teams here in February 2012 and April 2015 to work alongside Covenant missionaries.

CWRCovenant World Relief: We take annual and special donations for CWR work.

covkidsCovenant Kids Congo: Several families from our church sponsor children as part of this ministry.

In addition, Monadnock Covenant Church provides financial support to the following missionaries:

JenJenifer DeCastro, Covenant Merge Ministries: facilitates domestic mission trips for Covenant churches.

Randy Bevis, Special Assignment: helping to start up fish-farming operations in various countries

grant and mikoGrant and Miho Buchholtz, Japan: planting a church in Tokyo

Denise Garcia, Ecuador: currently fundraising for a two-year term working with youth through sports development, education, and arts

Beyond these church initiatives, individual members of the congregation are involved in Hospice (care and compassion at the end of life), The Nathan Project (sexual purity), Samaritans (suicide prevention), American Red Cross, and a long list of other ministries.
